June 20: Orca Sing 2026

Join your friends and neighbors at Lime Kiln Point State Park on Saturday, June 20 at 7 PM for Orca Sing 2026! Bring your friends, family, and a picnic to enjoy the beauty of the park and the Salish Sea
while listening to thoughtful speeches and local musicians. First Nations naturalists Odin Lonning and Orca Annie will offer Indigenous perspective on the endangered Southern Resident killer whales. Fred West will play instrumental music and say a few words
about the origins of Orca Sing, and author Marcia Henton Davis will also speak about the Incredible story of Tokitae.


The event will feature musical performances from opera singers Sarah Boden and Eleanor Bennett-White! Local Americana duo The Crazy Chesters, will also be performing! Tours of the historic Lime Kiln lighthouse will be offered before and after the performance.Shuttle transportation is available through San Juan Transit for $10. Pick-up is at 6:30 PM in front of The Whale Museum. Return trips from Lime Kiln are at 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM. A Discover Pass is required to park in the State Park lot.

Orca Sing 2026 is the result of a partnership of a number of organizations: Alchemy Art Center, American Cetacean Society, Friends of Lime Kiln Society, Friends of the San Juans, Oceana, PKOLS, Salish Wildlife Rescue, San Juan Transit, The Madrona Institute, The Salish Sea School, The Whale Museum, and Washington State Parks.
