May 25: Memorial Day Parade 9:30 am

Since the end of World War I, American Legion Legion Hacket Larson Post 163 has commemorated the service of men and women who have served the nation in the various branches of the military. The Legion’s annual Memorial Day Parade begins on Court Street and goes down Second Street to Spring Street. The parade ends at Memorial Park where a ceremony is held commemorating the sacrifices made by American soldiers both past and present. The ceremony ends with children tossing flowers into the harbor in memory of those lost at sea.
