September 26 @ 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm
The Fall Great Islands Cleanup is happening Saturday, September 26, 2026. Join your friends and neighbors for a day of stewardship, taking care of island beaches and roadways.
We had a successful outer islands pickup earlier this week and are looking forward to gathering more litter this weekend. Are you in?
San Juan County – September 26, 2026
Shaw:
Bring your collected beach and roadway trash to the Shaw Baseball Field dumpster on September 26th between 3pm – 4pm.
Contact: Jennifer Woodbridge outsidelanguage1@gmail.com or 360-378-7948
Registration required: If you’re on one of these islands and want to participate, please register ahead of time so we can plan.
What we’ll take: Litter picked up from beaches and roadways only. Please, no household or private trash, and no hazardous waste.
How to get ready: Bag small items. Big items can go unbagged.
Have something large? Give us a heads-up so we can plan for space. We may ask for a hand loading heavy pieces.
