DESCRIPTION:Run with the Pack 5k\, 10k & Fun Run\n\n\n\nWe are so excited for the second annual Run with the Pack 5k\, 10k\, & Fun Run. Choose from a 1-mile Village Loop or scenic 5K and 10K down-and-back courses featuring waterfront views and gentle terrain.  \n\n\n\nRaces will begin July 4th at 8:30am. Start/Finish lines are at Lopez Park in the center of the village of Tower Rd.  \n\n\n\nWe will have registration July 3rd from 4-6 pm and the morning of July 4th at Village Park (265 Lopez Road). Registration will close at 8:15 am July 4. Parking is in the village is limited – please plan to carpool or park early! \n\n\n\nCost: \n\n\n\n1 Mile Fun Run/ Walk $10 \n\n\n\n5K $20 \n\n\n\n10k $30 \n\n\n\nKids under 12 are FREE \n\n\n\nT-shirts are available for $20ea \n\n\n\nWe encourage you to have fun and wear your neons OR your red white and blue! DESCRIPTION:The Fireworks Show \n\n\n\nLopez Island is well known in the Northwest for its outstanding fireworks display. The Fireworks Crew’s Volunteers include a number of local residents with pyrotechnical licenses who carefully select and even make some of the unique displays. \n\n\n\nThe annual fireworks display is supported by donations and the sale of T-shirts and sweatshirts available at local businesses and now here securely online. \n\n\n\nOur Show is scheduled to start promptly at 10:30 PM. There will be 15 theme categories; each theme will consist of many different sizes of individual display shells. DESCRIPTION:Lopez Hill\n\n\n\n From the preserve parking lot we will go counterclockwise on the trails around Lopez Hill\, taking a rest and snack break at the top.  While there aren’t any distant views\, the trails pass through a range of environments from alder bogs to rocky outcrops\, a very peaceful hike through a second-growth forest. \n\n\n\nStart time: 9:30am at the schools corner parking lot (first entry on the right after turning on School Road from Center Road) to car pool to the preserve parking lot.  \n\n\n\nEstimated end time: 1:30pm \n\n\n\nDifficulty: Moderate \n\n\n\nDistance: 3.5 miles \n\n\n\nElevation gain: 500’ \n\n\n\nHike leaders: Kurt Fuller and Steve Snowden \n\n\n\nPlease dress for the weather and bring water\, snacks\, or whatever else you need for a. successful hike.
