Sign up to participate HERE! \n\n\n\nThe Orcas Island Community Picnic Chili Cook-Off will occur on Friday\, July 3\, 2026\, on the Village Green. \n\n\n\nA $25 entry fee is required for each category of chili entered by a contestant. 100% of all fees and donations go towards the Chamber’s Fourth of July fund. Entry fee is payable the day of the contest by cash\, Venmo\, or check. OR\, if you would like to pay online\, there will be in a link provided in the next step to pay via credit card. \n\n\n\nRegistration form is due by *Monday\, June 30\, at 5pm*. \n\n\n\nPrepayment is okay. Checks can be dropped on the porch of the Visitor’s Center in the black lock box. DESCRIPTION:Contestants must pre-register in order to enter the contest. Registration the day of the contest is not permitted. A $25 entry fee is required for each type of pie entered by each contestant. 100% of all fees and donations go towards the Fourth of July fund. \n\n\n\nREGISTRATION FORM is due by Friday\, June 26 at 5pm. \n\n\n\nYou can email or drop off your registration at the Chamber office (dropbox outside). \n\n\n\nAny type of pie is welcome: blueberry\, rhubarb\, buckeye\, single-crust\, double-crust\, pecan . . . anything except savory meat pies. That’s why there’s a chili cook-off! \n\n\n\nAdditional Rules:– Pies must be baked from scratch (no store-bought crust!) and based in a 9” – 10” pie plate/pan. Each pie must include a cover.– Contestants must prepare two pies of each type entered and can enter up to three types of pie.– Ice cream and whipped cream may be served as an accompaniment.– The Chamber will provide plates\, bowls\, and forks or spoons for serving.– Contestants will serve their own product. Instead\, more than 2\,000 people came together in the largest conservation campaign in San Juan County history — and Turtleback Mountain became public land\, forever. \n\n\n\nThis July\, we’re celebrating that decision and the people who made it possible.
